Century Arms CZ 83 380 ACP 3.85" 12rd Very Good Condition Pistol

A steel framed double stack 380 with a 12 round magazine is not something the current market offers, which is most of the appeal of the CZ 83. The straight blowback action puts all of the recoil into a heavy frame, so muzzle rise is mild and the second shot lands where the first one did. The trigger runs double action for the first shot and single action after that, with an ambidextrous frame safety and a reversible magazine release.

Century Arms brings these in as surplus and grades this one Very Good, meaning a used pistol with light wear and an action and bore in serviceable shape. It wears a black matte finish over the steel frame with black plastic grip panels, and the barrel measures 3.85". Sights are fixed and low profile. These pistols served as police sidearms for years, and the design shares its grip angle and trigger geometry with the CZ 75, scaled around a smaller cartridge. For a shooter who prefers steel over polymer and does not mind carrying the extra weight, there is not much else in 380 that shoots this softly or holds this many rounds.
