Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0 Cranberry Hearts 380 ACP 2.75" 12rd Pistol

Cranberry Hearts is one of the finish editions Smith & Wesson builds on the Bodyguard 2.0, and this one carries a thumb safety on the frame. Mechanically nothing else changes. The pistol is chambered in 380 ACP with a 2.75" barrel, and both magazines are included: a 12rd with the extended baseplate and a 10rd that sits flush for deeper concealment.

What made the Bodyguard 2.0 worth attention is the capacity in that footprint. Smith & Wesson redesigned the frame and the magazine to stack more rounds into a grip that still hides under light clothing, so it carries like the single stack pocket guns it replaced while holding several more rounds. The trigger is flat faced and far better than the long double action pull on the original Bodyguard. The slide is stainless with serrations front and rear. A locked breech action keeps felt recoil mild for 380 ACP and takes much less force to rack than a comparable 9mm, which matters to shooters with weak grip strength. For a gun that gets worn every day and shot occasionally, that combination is hard to argue with.
