Century Arms CZ 75 BD Police 9mm Pistol

The BD is the decocker version of the CZ 75. In place of a frame mounted manual safety it carries a decocking lever, so the hammer lowers onto a loaded chamber with a sweep of the thumb and the pistol rides hammer down on a live round. First shot is double action, everything after it is single action. Anyone who came up on a Beretta or a Sig service pistol will find the manual of arms already familiar.

The frame is steel and the slide runs inside the frame rails rather than over the top of them, which is the layout that made the 75 famous. It sits the bore low in the hand, keeps a lot of mass between the shooter and the reciprocating slide, and holds the muzzle flatter under recoil than most service pistols of its generation. The grip is one of the better ones ever fitted to a duty gun, with a point of aim natural enough that new shooters pick it up in a magazine or two.
