The Browning X-Bolt 2 Composite Special in 300 Winchester Magnum is the medium-heavy sibling in the X-Bolt 2 lineup: a 26" stainless barrel in gray Cerakote, sporter contour, and the composite Special stock with adjustable comb. The longer barrel squeezes more velocity out of a 300 Win Mag load than the standard 24" most competitors run, which matters when you are working a 200-grain bullet at elk distance. 5/8-24 muzzle threads accept a brake or suppressor out of the box.

The X-Bolt 2 action is smoother on close and open than the original X-Bolt, the new trigger has a crisper break, and the 60-degree bolt throw clears the large ocular lenses on modern LRH scopes.
