Browning BL-22 Grade II 22 LR 20" 15rd Rifle

The BL-22 has been the lever action 22 to own for decades, and the Grade II is the dressed up version. The blued steel receiver carries scroll engraving, the trigger is gold colored, and the straight grip stock and forearm are gloss finished American walnut with traditional point checkering. It is the kind of rimfire that gets handed down rather than traded in.

The action is what makes it famous. The lever throws only 33 degrees, so cycling is quick for adults and easy for younger shooters, and the trigger travels with the lever to keep fingers from getting pinched. The tubular magazine holds 15 rounds of 22 Long Rifle and also feeds 22 Short and 22 Long, mixed in any combination. The 20 inch polished blued barrel has a recessed crown, and adjustable open sights with a steel blade front come on the gun. The receiver is machined from solid steel and grooved for scope mounts if you want to add glass. At about 5 pounds it carries easily on a squirrel hunt and is just as happy knocking over cans in the back field.
