Henry H1 Tracker Carbine 22 S/L/LR 16.5" 13rd Walnut Rifle

Henry built the H1 Tracker Carbine around the same rimfire lever action that has kept the Classic line in gun safes for decades, then cut it down for shooters who want a faster handling gun. The 16.5" octagon blued steel barrel is shorter than the standard Henry rimfire tube, which trims weight up front and makes the little carbine quick to swing on a running squirrel or a bouncing tin can. American walnut furniture and a straight grip stock keep the profile traditional, while the large loop lever gives gloved hands room to work. The tube feeds 13 rounds of 22 Long Rifle, 14 of 22 Long, or 18 of 22 Short, so you can load whatever is on the shelf.

Sighting is where the Tracker separates itself from a plain Frontier model. A Skinner peep sight sits on the receiver with a brass bead up front, a combination that picks up fast in low light and stays put under recoil, which on a rimfire lever gun is essentially nothing. The receiver is grooved 3/8" for tip off rings if you would rather run a rimfire scope. At right around six pounds it carries easily on a long walk through the woods, and the quarter cock safety plus the smooth Henry action make it an easy gun to hand to a new shooter.
