Same Bottomland dressed BAR MK4 Hunter, this time in 270 Win. The barrel is 22" and fluted, finished matte blued along with the aluminum alloy receiver, which is drilled and tapped for a mount. Four rounds in the magazine. The composite stock is weather resistant with overmolded gripping panels, a raised SoftFlex cheekpad and shim adjustment for cast on and off and drop at the comb, so a shooter can move the comb to where their eye already is rather than craning to find the scope.

270 Win has been the western deer and elk answer since the 1920s and nothing has really displaced it. It shoots flat, it hits harder than the numbers suggest, and every shop in the country stocks it. In an autoloader the recoil drops off enough that the second shot is genuinely available, which matters when an animal steps and the first shot goes wide.
