Browning AB3 Pro Hunter Deluxe 243 Win 22" 5rd Maple Rifle

The AB3 is Browning's plainspoken take on the A-Bolt, and the Pro Hunter Deluxe is the dressed up version of it. A satin finish light maple stock with a dark maple forend cap and cut checkering gives this rifle a look most modern hunting rifles gave up on years ago. The metal is matte blued so it will not flash at a deer across a cut field, and both the barrel and the bolt body carry spiral flutes that trim a little weight and give the gun a profile you can pick out at a distance.

Chambered in 243 Win, this is an easy rifle to shoot well. Recoil is mild enough that a younger hunter can learn on it without flinching, and the cartridge still takes deer and antelope cleanly while pulling double duty on coyotes. The 22" barrel is threaded at the muzzle and comes with a radial brake, which knocks down what little kick there is. A top tang safety sits right under the thumb, the bolt lock override button lets you work the action with the safety engaged, and the oversized hex bolt knob is easy to grab in a hurry. Capacity is 5rd, an Inflex pad soaks up the rest, and the steel receiver is drilled and tapped for bases.
