Ruger American Gen II 243 Win 20" 3rd Gun Metal Gray Rifle

The Ruger American Rifle Generation II updates Ruger's popular bolt gun with a tougher finish and a better stock, and model 46904 chambers it in 243 Win. The barrel, muzzle brake, receiver and bolt handle wear Gun Metal Gray Cerakote, and the stock has a gray splatter finish that grips well without being rough on your hands. The 20" medium contour barrel has deep spiral flutes that cut weight at the muzzle without giving up stiffness.

The barrel is cold hammer forged, threaded 5/8-24 and fitted with a radial port muzzle brake. Feeding is from a 3rd AI style detachable magazine. A three position tang safety locks the bolt closed but still lets you load and unload with the safety on, and the Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger can be tuned by the user. Power Bedding locates the receiver and free floats the barrel for accuracy, and the one piece stainless steel bolt keeps the familiar three lug, 70 degree throw design. A removable spacer sets length of pull at 13.75" or 12", and the installed low comb lines your eye up with a scope and comes off for lower sights. A Picatinny scope base is installed, and a soft rubber recoil pad soaks up what little kick the 243 makes. At 6.3 lbs it is a light, accurate deer and varmint rifle.
