Browning AB3 Pro Composite 7mm Rem Mag 26" 3rd Gray/Green Rifle

Magnum cartridges want barrel, and Browning gave the 7mm Remington Magnum version of the AB3 Pro Composite a full 26". That length is what turns 7mm Rem Mag from a loud 280 into the flat shooting elk and mule deer round it was meant to be. The detachable box magazine holds 3, which is standard for a belted magnum in a hunting rifle.

The Pro Composite build runs the same across the line: spiral fluted sporter barrel, spiral fluted bolt body, matte blued metalwork that does not throw light back at game, and a gray and green composite stock that ignores weather. The muzzle comes threaded with a protector included, and on a magnum a brake is worth thinking about. Browning's Inflex recoil pad sits at the back and directs recoil down and away from the face rather than straight into the cheek, which matters more with this cartridge than with a 6.5. The receiver is drilled and tapped for bases, the safety rides on the top tang, and a bolt lock override lets you unload with the safety engaged. The teardrop bolt knob on a two piece handle stays easy to find under a big scope.
