This is a Bergara Premier barreled action rather than a complete rifle: the Premier action and a fitted, headspaced barrel as one unit, ready to drop into the chassis or stock of your choosing. It removes the hardest part of a custom build, since Bergara fits, times and headspaces the barrel to the action before it leaves their shop.

The barrel is a 20" stainless tube in the #5.5 contour used on the HMR Pro, threaded at the muzzle for a brake or a suppressor. That contour is the middle ground: heavier than a hunting sporter so it holds a group through a string of shots, lighter than a full bull barrel so the finished rifle still carries. Chambered in 22 Creedmoor, a cartridge built for high BC .224 bullets at speed, it is a flat shooting choice for varmints, predators and steel at distance, with barely enough recoil to disturb the reticle. Bergara's reputation was built on barrels before it was built on rifles, and a barreled action is where that shows most directly.
