Bergara B-14 Hunter 308 Win 18" 4rd Stainless Rifle

An 18" 308 Win bolt gun is a specific tool and a very good one. Short barrels give up a little velocity but gain a lot in handling, and this one balances between the hands in timber, in a blind or out the window of a truck. The muzzle is threaded, so a can or a brake goes straight on, and the shorter tube keeps overall length sane once a suppressor is hanging off the end. Stainless barrel, receiver and bolt shrug off weather better than blued steel.

Bergara's B-14 action is the familiar two lug design with a sliding plate extractor and a coned bolt nose, and it feeds from an internal box with a hinged floorplate holding 4 rounds of 308. The stock is glass fiber reinforced polymer with a black and grey web finish and molded texture at the grip and forend. The Performance trigger adjusts externally and breaks clean, and the receiver comes drilled and tapped for bases. Barrel making is the reason these rifles sell in the first place, and the sub MOA guarantee applies here the same as it does across the rest of the B-14 line. In 308 with subsonic loads and a can, this is about as quiet as a centerfire rifle gets.
