Auto-Ordnance Thompson 1927A-1 Deluxe 45 ACP 16.5" 20/50rd Rifle

The Thompson 1927A-1 Deluxe is the Tommy Gun most people picture: finned barrel, Cutts compensator, vertical foregrip and a drum magazine. Auto-Ordnance reproduces the details of the original in a semi auto 45 ACP carbine, and this configuration is the most popular model in the line.

The frame and receiver are machined from solid steel and blued. The barrel is a 16.5" finned unit with a pinned compensator, and the furniture is genuine American walnut: a fixed buttstock, pistol grip and vertical foregrip. Sights are a blade front with an open adjustable rear. It comes with two magazines, one 20 round stick and one 50 round drum, so you can run it in the lighter stick configuration or load up the drum for the full gangster era look. Overall length is 41" and it weighs about 13 lbs, which makes it heavy to carry but very soft shooting. It is a range gun, a conversation piece and a slice of American history in one. If you have wanted a Thompson since you first saw one in a movie, the 1927A-1 Deluxe with the drum is where to start.
