Not every rifle needs 9x. The 2-7x32 Neos HMR trades top end magnification for field of view, 53 feet at 100 yards on the low setting, which is what matters when a deer steps out at 30 yards and you have to find it in the glass in a hurry. The Center-X crosshair is plain and reads well against a dark backdrop.
The 32mm objective sits low in rings and keeps the scope light at 14 ounces. Eye relief runs 4.61 to 3.86 inches across the zoom range, parallax is fixed at 100 yards, and the quarter MOA turrets reset to zero after sight in. The one piece aluminum tube is nitrogen purged and waterproof, 1 inch in diameter, and the scope measures 10.8 inches long, so it fits a short action without crowding the bolt.
