Rings are the link between the scope tube and the base, and two things have to be right before anything else matters: the ring diameter has to match the tube on the scope, and the height has to clear the objective bell over the barrel without lifting the shooter's cheek off the stock.

The figures on this part number are a 40mm ring diameter and a medium height. Measure the tube on the scope before ordering, because a 40mm ring will not hold a 34mm or 30mm tube.
