Angstadt Arms machined this adapter to sit as low as it can. It converts a HUB pattern suppressor, the 1.375x24 universal base most modern cans use at the rear, to a 1/2-28 direct thread host, and it adds almost nothing in length or bulk doing it.
It is stainless steel with a black nitride finish and weighs 2.5 oz. Nitride over stainless is the right call for a part that lives in the gas path and gets threaded and unthreaded over and over. It takes heat, it resists corrosion, and it does not gall against the suppressor threads the way a softer coating will after a season of use. Anything with a 1.375x24 rear takes it.
