Akkar Open Country 28 GA 28" Shotgun

The Akkar Open Country 28 gauge is an over under for shooters who like a small bore that still hits well. It has 28" barrels chambered for 3" shells and comes with five choke tubes. The 28 gauge patterns efficiently for its size and recoils very little, which is why so many quail and dove hunters swear by it.

Automatic ejectors throw out spent hulls when the gun is opened. The tang mounted safety also serves as the barrel selector. The stock and forend are Turkish walnut, and the metal carries Akkar's OxyCap finish. Long barrels on a light 28 gauge give a smooth, steady swing that pays off on crossing birds and on the skeet field, where the 28 is one of the classic sub gauges. If you want an over under that is pleasant to shoot all day, this is a good place to look. A 7mm flat rib tops the blued barrels, and swapping one part turns the ejectors into simple extractors.
