The Sidewinder M2 is Yankee Hill Machine's lightweight, user serviceable pistol can. The monocore baffle and outer tube are hard anodized aluminum, while the piston, Nielsen sleeve and blast baffle are stainless steel. The booster was redesigned around the industry's unofficial standard piston, so pistons from SilencerCo, Rugged and Dead Air interchange with it, and the new rear cap swaps pistons without tools. The included takedown tool pulls the baffle and Nielsen device for cleaning.
This 45 ACP model mounts with a .578x28 RH piston, and the Nielsen device keeps semi auto pistols cycling. Twelve index points let you adjust point of impact while the can stays on the gun. It measures 9.2 inches (9.35 with the piston) on a 1.375 inch tube and weighs 9.4 ounces, 10.6 with the piston. YHM measured 133 dB dry on a Glock 21 with 230 grain FMJ, and it can also run 300 BLK subsonic on barrels of 7.5 inches or longer. It is full auto rated.
