Winchester SX4 Compact 12 GA 24" 4rd Shotgun

The SX4 Compact puts Winchester's full size 12 gauge autoloader into a package sized for smaller shooters. The composite stock has a 13 inch length of pull, and the matte black finish runs across the aluminum alloy receiver and 24 inch barrel. It has a 3 inch chamber and holds four 2.75 inch shells, and it weighs about six and a half pounds.

It runs on the self adjusting Active Valve gas system, which cycles light target loads and heavier hunting loads while reducing felt recoil, with Quadra-Vent ports for cleaner operation. The back bored barrel has a vent rib, a chrome plated chamber and bore, and takes Invector-Plus choke tubes; Full, Modified and Improved Cylinder are included. A TRUGLO fiber optic front sight speeds up target pickup. Winchester enlarged the cocking handle, bolt release and trigger guard opening for gloved hands, the crossbolt safety is reversible, and the drop out trigger group makes cleaning simple. Sling swivel studs are installed. It is a good first 12 gauge for a younger or smaller hunter, and the short barrel handles well in timber, blinds and thick upland cover.
