Winchester Model 70 Extreme Hunter 30-06 Sprg 22" 5rd Rifle

The Winchester Model 70 Extreme Hunter is a Model 70 set up for foul weather and hard hunts. The receiver wears an FDE Cerakote finish, and the free floating, fluted sporter weight barrel is finished to match. A muzzle brake on the 9/16-24 threaded muzzle takes some of the sting out of the 30-06 Springfield. The Bell and Carlson synthetic stock is finished in TrueTimber Strata camo with a sculpted cheekpiece, and it will not swell or warp when the weather turns wet. A Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad and sling swivel studs finish out the stock.

Underneath is the action that made the Model 70 famous. Pre-'64 style controlled round feed holds the cartridge from magazine to chamber, controlled ejection clears it, and the three position safety is easy to run with your thumb. The M.O.A. Trigger System gives a clean, repeatable break. The 22 inch barrel is fed by a 5 round internal magazine with a hinged floorplate, so unloading at the truck is quick. The bolt body is jeweled and the handle is knurled for a sure grip with gloves on. It is a practical rifle for elk, deer and other big game in rough country.
