Weatherby Vanguard Arctic Pro 7mm PRC Rifle

The Vanguard has been Weatherby's working rifle for a long time, and the SUB-MOA guarantee attached to it is the company putting a number on the claim rather than talking around it. The barrel is cold hammer forged and Cerakoted, the trigger is match grade, and the muzzle is threaded so a can or the included brake can go on without a trip to a gunsmith. In 7mm PRC that threading is worth having from day one.

The Arctic Pro build adds the hardware a shooter would otherwise buy piecemeal. A 20 MOA Picatinny rail sits on the action, which matters because it hands back elevation a scope would otherwise burn getting zeroed at distance. The forend carries an Arca and Picatinny rail, so a tripod head, an ARCA clamp or a conventional bipod all mount without an adapter stack. The synthetic stock is built to shrug off weather, which is the whole point of the name. 7mm PRC brings heavy 7mm bullets at magnum velocity with less recoil than a 300 magnum hands back, so a shooter can put in real practice and still have a rifle that reaches when the shot is long.
