Weatherby Model 307 MZY Muzzleloader 50 Cal 26"

This version of the Weatherby Model 307 MZY comes with a clean, sightless top end, and that tells you who it is for: hunters who plan to run a scope from day one. Modern muzzleloader seasons increasingly allow optics, and a 50 caliber gun with a proper bolt action underneath deserves better than a bargain bin sight package. The 26 inch barrel ends in a 2 inch muzzle brake that pulls real recoil out of heavy magnum charges, which pays off most during load development when you are shooting from a bench all afternoon.

The Model 307 action gives the MZY the trigger feel, bolt throw, and overall handling of a centerfire hunting rifle rather than the utility grade feel most muzzleloaders settle for, and the black carbon finished stock is built for weather. Fifty caliber remains the easiest bore to feed, with bullets and charges stocked nearly everywhere. Top it with the scope you trust and it hunts like the rest of your rifles.
