The Weatherby Mark V Live Wild Carbon in 7mm Backcountry is a bolt-action centerfire rifle designed for hunters who push into rugged terrain and changing weather, marrying the flagship Mark V nine-lug action to the modern 7mm Backcountry cartridge for magnum-class velocity out of a compact 16-inch barrel.
A BSF carbon-fiber-wrapped spiral-fluted barrel reduces weight and sheds heat during long shot strings, and the included 2-inch Accubrake ST muzzle brake tames recoil and softens report for fast follow-up shots. Barrel, receiver and trigger guard wear Carbon Grey Cerakote, while the bolt, knob and safety are finished in Graphite Black Cerakote for a purpose-built hunting aesthetic.
