Weatherby Mark V Deluxe 25 WBY RPM 24" 4rd Walnut Rifle

Before composite stocks and stainless barrels took over the rifle rack, a Weatherby Mark V looked like this: deep blued steel and gloss walnut. The Mark V Deluxe is the company's tribute to that era and none of it is imitation. The stock is AA grade walnut in a high gloss finish, cut with fineline diamond point checkering and trimmed with a rosewood forend tip and grip cap set off by maple spacers.

Under the wood is the Mark V action Weatherby has built its name on. The 24 inch barrel wears the same high gloss blue as the receiver and is left without threads, which keeps the lines of the rifle intact, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for bases. A Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad takes the edge off the 25 WBY RPM, and the magazine holds four rounds. This is a right hand rifle, and it is the kind that gets handed down: heavy on craftsmanship, light on gimmicks, and finished to a standard almost nobody applies to a working hunting rifle anymore.
