A 325gr bullet in 45 Colt is a long way from the old cowboy loads. Standard 45 Colt runs 250gr, and the extra 75gr here is aimed squarely at the revolver carried for hogs, black bear or whitetail at short range.

Heavy 45 Colt loads are usually built to pressures the original cartridge never saw, so check the box against your gun before running them in a vintage single action or a replica made to original specs.
