Ultradyne UD3 Chassis for Remington 700 Short Action

The UD3 is machined from a solid bar of aluminum, so the bedding surface, forend and grip mount all come out of one piece of metal. Ultradyne lists the design at 1.1 to 1.5 pounds across the model line, which covers hunting rifles down around 6 pounds as well as target rifles up to 16 pounds. This version is cut for a Remington 700 short action, right hand.

The magazine well runs the AICS pattern, and a FAB Defense Gradus grip comes installed. The barrel channel clears diameters up to 1.35", so a heavy contour has room. Paired with Ultradyne's adjustable butt stock the chassis comes in lighter than most factory stocks, and optional weights let you add up to five pounds when you want the rifle to sit still.
