WOOX Sporter Precision Stock for Remington 700 Long Action Walnut

This is the long action version of WOOX's Sporter Precision stock, made from walnut. Long action receivers need a longer magazine cutout and a longer bedding surface than a short action, so the two are not interchangeable - this one is cut for the Remington 700 long action.

The reason to run wood on a precision stock is mass and feel. Walnut is dense, it damps a little more than a hollow synthetic stock, and it warms up in the hand instead of going slick and cold. It also refinishes, which a painted polymer stock does not.
