Cut for Smith & Wesson M&P CORE and M&P 2.0 optics ready pistols, this HD XR set trades the standard sights for tritium and a bright orange front ring.
The HD XR came out of Trijicon's HD line with distance work in mind, aimed at police and competition shooters who have to identify and engage a target further out than across a room. The front sight is a tritium lamp behind a domed sapphire lens, which Trijicon rates 2X brighter to quicken sight acquisition. The orange photoluminescent paint outline gives the daylight sight picture something to grab, and the rear is a serrated U notch angled to reduce glare and aid front sight focus.
