Tisas 1911 Duty SS45 45 ACP 5" 8rd Stainless Pistol

Full size 1911s exist because the design works best at 5" of barrel and a full frame of steel. The Tisas 1911 Duty SS45 is that gun in stainless: government length slide, full length grip, and 45 ACP fed by 8 round magazines, two of which are in the box. The extra length and mass over a Commander show up as a steadier hold and noticeably less muzzle rise on the second shot.

Stainless steel is the practical reason to pick this one. A 1911 has a lot of small internal parts and a lot of tight fits, and stainless shrugs off the sweat and humidity that will pit a blued carbon steel gun over a few seasons. Sights are Novak style with white dots, easy to pick up in daylight and easy to swap for tritium later. The grips are overmolded rubber, which soaks up some of the 45's push and keeps the gun from squirming under recoil. The rest is standard government pattern 1911, with the enhanced controls Tisas fits across the line. This is a working 45 meant to be shot, not a safe queen.
