Tisas 1911 Duty 45 ACP 5" 8rd Stainless Picatinny Rail Pistol

Tisas builds the Duty on the full size 1911 pattern John Browning drew up, then adds the one thing the original never had: a Picatinny rail machined into the dust cover. Slide and frame are both stainless steel, so the gun carries the weight shooters expect from a government size 1911 and soaks up 45 ACP recoil instead of snapping with it. The single action trigger breaks the way a 1911 trigger should, and the manual thumb safety and grip safety sit exactly where a hand trained on this platform reaches for them.

The 5 inch barrel is classic government length, so the pistol balances and points like every service 1911 before it. Capacity is 8 rounds in the magazine. The rail up front takes a weapon light without a proprietary adapter, which is why this configuration works as well on a nightstand as it does in a range bag. Tisas turns out 1911s that run on standard GI pattern parts and magazines, so holsters, grips, sights, and springs from the wider 1911 aftermarket fit without gunsmithing.
