The Tisas 1911 Carry B9R is a Commander size 1911 chambered in 9mm with a 4.25" barrel. The Commander length is the one a lot of 1911 shooters land on after carrying a full size gun for a while: it trims the front end down without touching the grip, so the part that prints under a shirt gets shorter while the part the hand holds stays where it belongs. In 9mm it is a mild shooting gun, and a metal frame 1911 in 9mm is about as gentle as a centerfire handgun gets.
The fittings are practical rather than decorative. Novak white dot sights are a proven carry pattern with a front sight that picks up fast. The grips are rubber overmolded, which grabs a dry hand better than checkered panels do. An accessory rail is cut into the dust cover for a light. The finish is Cerakote in black. Two magazines come with the gun, so there is a spare from the start rather than a shopping list.
