Taurus PT92 Full Size 9mm 5" 18rd 6 Magazine Bundle Pistol

The Taurus PT92 is a full size 9mm pistol built on an aluminum frame with a 5 inch stainless barrel. Six magazines come in the box, four 18 round and two 17 round, so a range day does not turn into a loading session. The frame has a beavertail at the rear of the grip and a Picatinny rail up front for a light or laser, and the slide is serrated for a firm hold during press checks and reloads.

The 92 puts its safety on the frame instead of the slide. That is the older service pistol approach and it has real advantages: the lever does not travel with the slide, and it sits where the thumb already rests. Run the pistol cocked and locked with the hammer back and the safety on, or use the decocking function to drop the hammer and start the first shot on a longer double action pull. The safety is a three position ambidextrous unit, so the controls work from either side of the gun and left handed shooters are not fighting the design. Weight sits forward with the 5 inch barrel, which settles the muzzle between shots and makes the recoil easy to read. The frame is hammer forged aluminum rather than cast, and the extra magazines mean the pistol is ready to shoot the day it comes home.
