The 22TUC answers the one thing that keeps a lot of people from carrying a semi auto: racking the slide. The barrel tips up at the press of a lever, so a round drops straight into the chamber and the barrel closes over it. No recoil spring to fight, no grip strength needed, no wrestling with a loaded gun. For shooters with hand strength or arthritis issues who have been told a revolver is their only option, that single feature changes the math.

Everything else on the gun is built around carry. The frame is polymer and micro compact sized, the barrel measures 2.5", and the magazine holds nine rounds of 22 LR. The trigger is double action only, a long consistent press that also drives the hammer hard enough for reliable rimfire ignition, which matters more with 22 LR than it does with centerfire ammunition. Sights are fixed. The slide wears an engraved wave pattern in blue PVD over black, which is a lot more interesting than a plain slab of steel and is the reason this variant exists. Modern 22 LR loads have closed much of the gap that used to make rimfire a questionable carry choice, and the 22TUC is built to take advantage of that.
