Springfield Armory SA-35 9mm 4" 15rd Walnut Pistol

The SA-35 is Springfield Armory's take on the Browning Hi Power, and this is the 4" version, shorter at the muzzle than the original service gun. Frame and slide are forged carbon steel with a blued finish and the grips are checkered walnut, so the pistol has a density in the hand that people notice the moment they set down a polymer gun. The single action trigger runs off a cocked hammer and comes tuned before it leaves the shop, with the magazine disconnect of the original P-35 deleted, which is most of the reason the break is cleaner than the design it grew out of.

The magazine holds 15rd and one comes in the box. Sights are a white dot front paired with a serrated tactical rack rear, square enough at the back edge to hook on a belt or a heel and cycle the slide one handed. The barrel is cold hammer forged. The rest is Hi Power: a bore that sits low over the hand, a grip most people fit without an adapter, and a thumb safety that falls where a 1911 shooter expects it. Anyone who came up on wood and steel guns will recognize the whole thing on the first magazine, and the shorter barrel makes this one easier to carry than the standard length model.
