Springfield Armory Echelon 4.0C 9mm 4" 18rd ODG Viridian RFX11 Gear Pac Pistol

The 4.0C is the carry length Echelon. Same fire control group, same optic mounting system as the full size gun, with a 4" barrel and a compact frame that hides better under a shirt. Springfield's Variable Interface System is the reason this pistol gets attention, since it takes a wide range of red dot footprints directly on the slide with no adapter plate in between. Tritium front and tactical rack rear U-Dot sights come standard for low light shooting.

This version wears an olive drab green Cerakote finish over a billet machined slide, a departure from the usual black. The Gear Pac bundle covers a Viridian RFX11 green dot, a premium pistol bag, one 15 round magazine and three 18 round magazines, which is a lot of loaded capacity for a compact 9mm. The slide is cut optic ready, the polymer frame carries a Picatinny rail and adaptive texture, and the controls are ambidextrous. RSR describes the 4.0C as keeping the key features of the full size gun in a shorter frame, which is the trade this configuration makes.
