Smith & Wesson M&P9 M2.0 Metal Carry Comp 9mm 4.22" 17rd Midnight Bronze Pistol

Smith & Wesson's Performance Center took the metal framed M&P and gave it the treatment a carry gun actually benefits from. The frame is aluminum rather than polymer, and that extra mass sitting low in the hand is the single biggest reason this pistol tracks flatter than its plastic siblings. On top of that, the Carry Comp barrel uses a PowerPort cut that vents gas straight up through a matching slide port, pushing the muzzle back down instead of letting it climb. The whole thing wears a Midnight Bronze finish that reads dark and brown rather than flashy.

The slide carries a ClearSight Cut, which routes gas away from a mounted optic so the glass stays readable through a string instead of fogging over with carbon. Sights are a night sight up front against a blacked out serrated U notch rear, a good arrangement because the eye goes straight to the front dot with nothing competing for attention. The trigger is the flat face M2.0 unit, which gives consistent finger placement and a shorter, more predictable break than the earlier curved shoe. It runs 9mm from 17rd magazines and two come in the case. Barrel length is 4.22", which keeps it concealable while giving the comp something to work with.
