Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0 380 ACP 2.75" 12rd Two Tone Tan Pistol

The Bodyguard 2.0 fixed the one real complaint about the original: capacity. Smith & Wesson kept the pocket sized footprint and the 2.75" barrel but built the frame around a new magazine that holds 10rd flush or 12rd with the extended baseplate. Both magazines come in the box. That is roughly double what the single stack pocket 380s of the last decade carried, in a grip still narrow enough to disappear under a shirt.

This one wears the two tone tan treatment, a break from the usual all black pistol. It is the configuration without a manual safety, so the trigger is the only thing between a decision and a shot, which is how most people who carry a small gun want it set up. The trigger itself is flat faced with a clean break, a real departure from the long mushy pull the first Bodyguard was known for. The slide is stainless with serrations at both ends, small enough to conceal but not so small it becomes hard to run with wet hands. Recoil in 380 ACP from a locked breech pistol this size stays manageable, including for shooters who cannot cycle a 9mm slide.
