Sig Sauer P320 XCompact 9mm 15rd Romeo-X Pistol

The P320 XCompact sits between a duty gun and a carry gun. The X series grip module raises the hand higher into the frame and shortens the reach to the trigger compared to the standard P320 module, and the shorter grip still holds a 15rd magazine. Under the module is the serialized fire control unit, which is the part that is legally the pistol. The module, the slide and the barrel are all components, and that is why the P320 has one of the deepest parts ecosystems of any striker fired handgun on the market.

This build includes a Romeo-X optic. Recoil behaves closer to a full size gun than the frame size suggests, because the module fills the hand and the bore sits low. In 9mm it feeds and carries easily and magazines are everywhere. The same fire control unit can move into a carry or full size module later if your needs change, which is the practical argument for the platform over a fixed frame pistol. It carries under a covering garment and works fine on a nightstand, which is the whole point of the XCompact size.
