Savage Arms AXIS II 30-06 Springfield 22" 4rd Granite Rifle

The Savage Arms AXIS II chambered in 30-06 Springfield with a granite-finish synthetic stock is a classic big-game hunting rifle brought into modern spec. The 22" button-rifled barrel is free-floated inside the synthetic stock, and the AXIS II model adds Savage's AccuTrigger as standard kit, letting the shooter adjust pull weight from about 2.5 to 6 pounds without gunsmithing. A 4-round detachable box magazine replaces the older hinged floorplate for quicker reloads.

30-06 Springfield remains a go-to cartridge across North America. It handles whitetail and pronghorn with light 150-grain loads and steps up to elk, moose, or black bear with 180-grain and heavier projectiles. Ammo is everywhere, from gas-station convenience stores to specialty hunting shops. The granite stock finish gives the rifle a textured appearance that breaks up the gun's outline in timber and open country. Drilled and tapped receiver, sling swivel studs, and a solid recoil pad make this a ready-to-scope hunting rig. The AXIS II action cycles smoothly and locks up tight for a rifle in its price tier.
