Savage 17 WSM 8rd Magazine

Rotary magazine for Savage rifles chambered in 17 Winchester Super Magnum, holding 8 rounds. The rotary layout feeds the long, thin 17 WSM case straight into the chamber instead of letting it nose dive the way a stacked box magazine can with rimfire ammunition.

Rimfire cases are thin and easy to dent, and the rotary geometry keeps each rim clear of the case ahead of it as rounds cycle. The body is polymer, so it survives being dropped in gravel better than a thin sheet metal magazine. A spare in the pack saves the trip home when the original disappears into tall grass at the end of a prairie dog stand.
