Savage 110 Ridge Hunter 5.56 NATO 18" 10rd Flat Dark Gray Rifle

The 110 Ridge Hunter is Savage's answer for close cover: short barrels, stainless steel where the weather gets at it, and a stock that adjusts to the person carrying it. This one runs 5.56 NATO out of an 18" barrel, which keeps the rifle quick to swing in thick timber while giving the cartridge more room than a carbine does. The barreled action is matte stainless steel, so a rifle that lives in a truck through a wet season holds up.

Iron sights come on the barrel, a rare thing on a modern bolt gun and a genuinely useful backup when a scope takes a hit miles from the trailhead. The muzzle is threaded for a brake or a suppressor, and the rifle feeds from AICS pattern detachable magazines with 10 rounds on tap. A jeweled bolt body keeps cycling smooth, and the user adjustable AccuTrigger lets a shooter set the break to taste. The flat dark gray 110 Trophy stock adjusts for length of pull, so the fit works with a heavy coat or without one.
