Savage 110 Carbon Hunter 6.5 CM 18" 4rd Flat Dark Gray Rifle

Savage's 110 Carbon Hunter is what happens when a hunting rifle gets built around the walk in rather than the bench. The 18" barrel is carbon fiber with a threaded muzzle, which pulls serious weight off the front of the rifle without giving up the stiffness that keeps groups tight when the barrel warms up. The action is Cerakoted for corrosion resistance and runs a jeweled bolt body, and a one piece 0 MOA rail comes on top so mounting a scope is one less thing to buy.

The stock is the 110 Trophy in Flat Dark Gray with length of pull adjustment built in, and a LimbSaver recoil pad on the back. Savage's user adjustable AccuTrigger is in here too, which is still the best trigger anyone puts on a hunting rifle at this level, and it breaks clean without the creep that makes people flinch. Feeding is from a detachable box magazine holding 4 rounds. In 6.5 Creedmoor with an 18" barrel you give up a little velocity and get back a rifle that comes out of a truck or a saddle scabbard without snagging, and that is a trade most hunters would take twice.
