Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan 454 Casull 2.5" 6rd Revolver

The Super Redhawk Alaskan is Ruger's short barreled big bore, built for people who spend time where the animals are bigger than they are. It uses the large Super Redhawk frame with extra steel in the top strap, sidewalls and barrel mounting area to handle heavy loads, and the triple locking cylinder locks into the frame at the front, rear and bottom for solid alignment. The 2.5 inch cold hammer forged barrel keeps the gun compact enough for a chest rig or belt holster, and the whole revolver is satin stainless steel for corrosion resistance in rain, snow and salt air.

This model is chambered in 454 Casull and holds 6 rounds. Dual chambering lets it fire 45 Colt as well, which is handy for practice or lighter loads. Recoil with full power 454 is stout, and the Hogue Tamer Monogrip with an internal cushion under the web of the hand does real work to soften it. The peg style grip frame accepts custom grips if you want something different. Sights are an adjustable rear with a replaceable ramp front insert, the transfer bar mechanism adds a layer of safety, and the revolver weighs 44 ounces.
