Ruger RXM 9mm 4.5" 17rd FDE Pistol

The RXM is Ruger's collaboration with Magpul, and it borrows the best idea in modern handgun design: a serialized fire control insert that drops into a replaceable grip module. Change the module and you change the size, the texture, and the feel of the gun without changing the gun. Magpul builds the grip frame, Ruger builds the metal, and the whole thing runs on Glock pattern magazines and fits Glock pattern holsters, which solves the accessory problem before you own a single piece of gear for it.

This one is set up in flat dark earth with a 17rd magazine and a 4.5" barrel. FDE across the grip module is a change from the usual black and pairs with most of the gear people are buying now. The slide is optics ready with a factory cut, so a red dot mounts without milling, and the barrel is cold hammer forged. The Magpul module is where the gun separates itself: the texture is aggressive where your hand needs it and calmer where a holster or a shirt rides against it, and the shape suits shooters who have never quite got along with the polymer pistols this one shares magazines with. As a home defense gun or a duty sized carry pistol, a modular chassis on a proven magazine standard covers most of what a modern shooter asks for.
