Ruger Hawkeye 250th Anniversary 308 Win 20" 4rd Stainless Rifle

Ruger built this Hawkeye as a limited edition for America's 250th year, with commemorative engraving on the hinged floorplate. Under the engraving it is a standard Hawkeye: a controlled round feed action with a non rotating Mauser type extractor, a fixed blade ejector that kicks empties clear when the bolt comes fully back, and a three position safety that lets you lock the bolt or unload the rifle with the trigger blocked.

The barrel is 20" of satin stainless, free floated and threaded 5/8-24 for a brake or a suppressor. The stock is American black walnut. Capacity is four rounds in the internal magazine, and the solid steel floorplate drops the whole stack out without cycling cartridges through the chamber. Ruger's scope mount is machined into the receiver, so rings go straight on with no base to buy or align. At around seven pounds in 308 Win with a 20" barrel, this is a carrying rifle for timber and mountain hunting rather than a bench gun. The Hawkeye has been Ruger's traditional bolt gun for years and the commemorative version is that same rifle in better dress, with an engraved Ruger logo on the flush latch that keeps the floorplate from dumping cartridges by accident.
