The Ruger GP100 Match Champion in 10mm Auto takes Ruger's rugged stainless GP100 and tunes it for competition. The 4.2 inch half lug barrel keeps the gun lively for fast transitions between targets and has an 11 degree target crown. The six shot cylinder is cut for 10mm and the gun includes three full moon clips, which work as a speed loader and help kick out spent cases. A fiber optic front and an adjustable rear sight give a quick, bright sight picture.

Polished and optimized internals, a centering boss on the trigger and centering shims on the hammer give a smooth double action pull and a crisp single action break. The triple locking cylinder locks to the frame at the front, rear and bottom for solid alignment shot after shot. The custom Hogue hardwood grip has stippled sides for control under recoil, and the grip frame accepts a wide range of custom grips. The transfer bar mechanism guards against accidental discharge, and takedown of the subassemblies needs no special tools. Weight is 37 oz with a 9.5 inch overall length, enough heft to keep full power 10mm loads manageable for steel matches or a hunting sidearm.
