Ruger New Model Blackhawk 45 Colt 7.5" 6rd Revolver

The Ruger New Model Blackhawk is the single action revolver that modernized the Old West design. This one is chambered in 45 Colt with a 7.5" cold hammer forged barrel, a six round cylinder and a blued finish on the barrel, cylinder and steel frame. The traditional western grip fills the hand and points naturally, and black checkered hard rubber panels give a solid hold under the recoil of heavier loads.

Unlike the old style single actions, the New Model uses a patented transfer bar ignition and a loading gate interlock that guard against accidental discharge. Sights are a ramp front and an adjustable rear, which lets you zero for the load you shoot most, from mild cowboy loads to stout hunting rounds. The long barrel adds sight radius and velocity, making it a strong choice for deer sized game at handgun ranges, metal silhouettes and cowboy action matches. It weighs 42 oz and has a 1:16" twist.
