Ruger American Rimfire 22 LR 16.1" 10rd Rifle

The Ruger American Rimfire in 22 LR runs a 16.1" cold hammer forged predator barrel, threaded 1/2-28 with a thread protector in place, over a satin blued alloy steel receiver with a factory installed Picatinny rail. It feeds from the patented BX-1 10 round rotary magazine, which sits flush in the stock, and it accepts every 10/22 magazine including the BX-25 and the BX-15.

The stock module system is the other half of the design. The rifle comes with the standard length of pull, high comb module that suits a scope, and pulling the rear sling swivel stud lets that module come off and another go on in seconds. Power Bedding, Ruger's integral bedding block, locates the receiver positively and free floats the barrel. The trigger is the Ruger Marksman Adjustable and the safety is a tang safety, sitting where the thumb already rests. At 5.3 lbs with a black synthetic stock, it is a light bolt gun that makes an easy suppressor host and an easy small game rifle, and the short barrel keeps it manageable with a can hanging off the front.
