Ruger American 30-06 Sprg 22" 4rd Rifle

The Ruger American Rifle model 6901 is a straightforward 30-06 Springfield hunting rifle: a 22" matte black barrel, a black synthetic stock and a 4rd rotary magazine that fits flush with the stock. The 30-06 handles everything from whitetail to elk, and at 6.2 lbs this rifle is light enough to carry from the truck to the ridge and back without complaint.

What makes the American shoot is Ruger's Power Bedding, an integral bedding block system that locates the receiver and free floats the barrel. The barrel is cold hammer forged for precise rifling and a long service life. The one piece, three lug bolt has a 70 degree throw for good scope clearance and cycles smoothly from the shoulder thanks to a full diameter bolt body and dual cocking cams. The Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger can be set by the user for a crisp release, and a tang safety sits right under your thumb. There are no iron sights; the rifle is set up for a scope. The lightweight stock blends a classic look with modern forend contouring and grip serrations, and a soft rubber buttpad and sling swivel studs finish it off. It is a practical, no frills rifle built to be carried hard and shot well.
