Ruger 10/22 Takedown 22 LR 16.4" 10rd Rifle

The 10/22 Takedown splits into two pieces at the receiver, which is the entire reason it exists. Lock the bolt back, confirm the chamber is empty, push a recessed lever, twist, and the barrel assembly separates from the action so the rifle fits in a pack or a small case. Reassembly takes seconds. This version wears a 16.4 inch barrel threaded 1/2-28 with a flash suppressor already fitted, so a can or a different muzzle device can go on whenever you want one.

Ruger fits the BX-Trigger from the factory and adds a match bolt release, so the bolt drops with a straight pull. The stock is black synthetic with M-LOK slots and integral sling swivels, and a combination scope base adapter on the receiver accepts both Weaver style rings and 22 tip off mounts. The classic 10 round rotary magazine feeds it, and the barrel and receiver are alloy steel in a satin black finish. More than half a century and millions of rifles in, the 10/22 remains the default answer for a first rifle, a truck rifle or a suppressor host.
